Vicky Kaushal responds to Team India’s “How’s the Josh” celebration

India defeated New Zealand by 35 runs in the fifth and final ODI to clinch the five-match ODI series 4-1 at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Sunday.

After the pleasantries and awards were done, one of the Indian cricket team member had but one question to ask – “How’s the josh?”

“High Sir!” came the roaring reply.

The phrase came from the recently released and highly successful Bollywood movie ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.

Vicky Kaushal, the popular Indian actor, was seen voicing out the dialogue “How’s the Josh?” in the movie. It is a phrase that the Army officers usually use to cheer up their colleagues. But, it has become an emotion after the movie’s release. Right from the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, to the opposition leaders, and the finance minister during the presentation of the interim budget – everyone is using it or its spinoff.

The same dialogue went viral among the Indian players as well. After collecting the trophy, the players went to pose along with the silverware.

Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav from one corner chanted “How’s the Josh?”. The other members of the team shouted in unison ‘High Sir!’. The BCCI posted the video of it on their Twitter handle and also tagged Vicky Kaushal.

“Our Indian cricket team always gets the JOSH of the nation super high and makes us all proud! Congratulations on the amazing win! INDIAAA INDIA!!!” the actor replied to the tweet.

India won a bilateral ODI series in New Zealand after 10 years, and will now play a three-match T20I series against the Blackcaps starting from February 6. The first match will be played at Westpac Stadium in Wellington.
