WATCH: Pujara saved twice by DRS on Day 3 – IND vs AUS 1st Test

IND vs AUS Pujara DRS

Despite some rain, day 3 of the 1st test match was quite eventful. Earlier on the day, Australia added 38 runs to their score taking the inning total to 235 runs.

At the end of day’s play, team India managed to put up 151 runs on the board with the loss of 3 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane was batting at 1 with Cheteshwar Pujara at 40.

Australian spinner Nathan Lyon had Pujara’s wicket twice, but both times the decision was overturned by DRS.

The first was during the 23rd over of Indian inning. Pujara was given out caught behind by the umpire Nigel Llong on the 5th ball of Lyon’s over. Pujara straight away went for the review. Hotspot and snicko didn’t show any evidence of the bat being involved and the decision was overturned.

During the 39th over, Lyon again got Pujara. The ball hit Pujara’s pad and umpire Nigel gave Pujara out lbw. Upon review, the ball-tracking showed that the ball was missing the stumps.
